The Influence of Ferrocenyl n-Hexyl Diketone Chelate Complexes on Gasoline Engine Fuel Properties 1999-01-3587
In this study, some ferrocenyl n-hexyl diketone chelate complexes of rare earth elements and a transition metal were prepared and their fuel properties such as solubility, corrosivity, flammability and their effects on engine emission characteristics were evaluated. The test results showed that the prepared compounds could improve fuel properties and meet requirements for solubility and corrosiveness. This study indicates that the chelate complexes could be candidates for use as gasoline additive.
