HIGH TEMPERATURE VIBRATION DURABILITY AND RESONANCE FREQUENCY TESTING OF NON-INTUMESCENT CERAMIC FIBER MAT FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE CATALYTIC CONVERTER APPLICATIONS 2000-01-1442
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the design validation and performance verification of CCMax™ non-intumescent mat for high performance catalytic converter applications. The validity of Unifrax Corporation's application engineering modeling and evaluation techniques was verified through independent hot vibration testing. Changes in mat performance over time was studied utilizing evaluation techniques including resonance frequency, hot push out and settled volume testing.
