CuproBraze Mobile Heat Exchanger Technology 2000-01-3456

Traditional copper/brass radiators and heaters have been gradually replaced by aluminum in automobiles. This trend is now transferring to heavy vehicles as well.
The worldwide copper industry has developed new technologies for the manufacture of copper-based heat exchangers - trade marked CuproBraze.
Analysis shows that copper's basic properties are superior to aluminum's for these applications.
Copper/brass heat exchangers can be manufactured in the same equipment used for aluminum, but at higher productivity and lower cost.
CuproBraze radiators can be designed with a 30% lower air pressure drop compared to aluminum, or a higher heat rejection, or a smaller size than the aluminum radiator.
In charge-air-coolers, copper has the advantage of more than twice the strength of aluminum.
