System Modeling of Advanced Electric Power Distribution Architectures for Large Aircraft 2000-01-3631
The results of a comparative study of the conventional centralized electrical power distribution system (EPDS) and the semi-distributed EPDS are presented. The analysis for the weight and cost of each EPDS is performed with the help of a program using a load database from an A340 aircraft. The power quality and the fault handling analysis of both EPDSs is performed through time domain simulations.
