A study of Blended Oil for Synergy Effect on Traction Coefficient 2003-01-1979

A series of blends of various compounds and plybutene were studied to clarify the structure development on the synergy effect on traction coefficient increase. The traction coefficient calculated from that of each component were compared with their actual values. Among the compounds investigated, it has been found that the compounds showed a synergy effect have common characteristics in their molecular structure. That is, they have two saturated cyclo rings linked with either ester or alkyl group.
