Development of New Generation Polypropylene Material for Instrument Panel and Bumper Applications 2003-01-2805

Sumitomo Mitsui Polyolefin (SMPO) developed of the new material: New-RTPO to collect the accumulated engineering components, and succeeded in sliming of the composite materials of PP for automobiles without spoiling the conventional performance. The New-RTPO has good property that added elastomer ingredients tend to fine-disperse in PP. Then it became easy to select of elastomer species to add and mixing machine to product. Furthermore, materials that used New-RTPO as base has little re-condensation of the elastomer ingredients by heat history. Then it is excellent to recycle. SMPO can supply the new materials for automobile not only in Japan but also Asia, US and EU.
