Improvement of Wiping Ratio with Low-Speed by use of “Wide View Wiper System” 2004-01-0877

This article introduces “wide view wiper system” which will be able to eliminate the deviation of wiping area between low-speed and high-speed. This system will consist of a structure wherein the actual length of motor arm will become longer at low-speed mode and shorter at high-speed mode through switching an eccentric bearing that is built-in with the motor arm. This eccentric bearing will be switched automatically following motor rotation direction when speed mode will be changed. As a result, this wiper system will be able to realize the high wiping rate at low-speed operation mode and the lower park position of wiper arm and blade to improve the vehicle appearance.
