Networking Human Performance Models to Further Utility of Process Models: The SEAPRINT Approach 2006-01-2343
With the continuing emphasis on Human Systems Integration (HSI), it is imperative to determine processes, procedures, and approaches to successfully perform HSI within the context of the systems engineering (SE) practice. Meaningful integration of the domains requires more than just inserting human factors into the design. Traditionally, the human domains represented by Human Task-Network Models have not been taken advantage of by engineering process models that support materiel acquisition. Because overall system performance is significantly dependent on human performance, it becomes critical to consider the human factor in all stages of design. An excellent method to analyze the human impact on system performance is through the interfacing of HSI and SE models.
