Reliability and Hazard Analyzes For an Automotive Component Based on Warranty Data 2006-01-2834

Reliability predictions play an important role in the Design process during product development process. Reliability analysis techniques provide effective tools for analyzing warranty, making reliability previsions and help in the engineers decisions. The propose of this paper is to present a case study, using the FORD Analytical Warranty System (AWS) data's, to estimate the system cumulative hazard, reliability analyze and failure probability (actual and projected) for a component based on the field claims collected.
