Designing the Cam Profile for Low Vibration at High Speeds 530262

THE vibration of overhead-valve trains at high engine speeds can be traced to cam profiles.
The author presents a technique that provides rapid approximate predictions of results with contemplated profiles. This method employs automatic computing machines to make the necessary calculations.
Discussion of this and other papers on “Valve-Gear Problems in Modern Overhead-Valve Engines” starts on page 714.
