Comparison of Some Rotary Piston Engines 630282

Rotary piston engines representing three different classes of geometry are compared with conventional reciprocating engines on the basis of bulk, sealing requirements, and cooling requirements. It is concluded that the better rotary piston engines have more intense cooling problems but offer greater potential in higher power/bulk ratio.
