Expanded Royalite is the first thermoplastic material that is felt to be suitable for the fabrication of automotive and truck bodies. Its unique laminate construction, which provides very high rigidity-to-weight ratio and impact resistance, makes it feasible for these applications. Low cost tooling and the ability to form large complex parts make the economics of fabrication practical.
