Some Procedures for Use in Performance Prediction of Proposed Aircraft Designs 650800

An empirical method for predicting subsonic minimum drag, drag-due-to-lift, and subsonic drag rise of proposed jet aircraft designs is presented. The method is designed for use in the absence of wind tunnel test data on a model of the specific configuration of interest. Estimates, based on this method, have correlated well with flight test results.
