Four wheel drive vehicles have long had a reputation for hard riding and clumsy handling. A new coil spring front suspension, the development of a new driving front axle, along with better isolation of the chassis from the body, have been adopted for two new Ford four wheel drive vehicles with improved ride and maneuverability.
