RELIABILITY DEVELOPMENT ON THE GE4 670317

The introduction of a supersonic transport directly into commercial service presents a reliability challenge to its developers. Six reliability methods used to insure early reliability of the supersonic transport engine are identified. One of these techniques, the Reliability Analysis Program, is fully described. Early results of these programs in the GE4 SST development are given.
