Designing Planetary Gears to Operate with Low Viscosity Synthetic Lubricants 680212

This paper discusses the procedures used to develop adequate gearing for the Bell Model 206-A JetRanger planetary gears.
Three tests were conducted using the JetRanger's actual transmission. These tests and their results are described, and final specifications are given.
