Process Techniques of Billet Strand Casting 700168

The development of process techniques during the last six years and the commercial application of these techniques in Roblin Steel Co.'s continuous casting plant at Dunkirk, N. Y., is presented and discussed. These techniques are used to produce carbon and low alloy steel cast billets which are rolled into rod and bar product used in the hot and cold forging and extrusion industries.
