Clutch for lawn Mower Engine Auxiliary Shaft 800039

In many self-propelled, walk-behind mowers, a clutch is required to couple an auxiliary drive shaft to the traction drive mechanism. The typical environment for lawn mowing often presents problems for unprotected clutches. A new clutch has been designed for mounting inside the engine crankcase. Discussions are presented of the design approach and features, and of performance in the test laboratory and field.
