Centrifugal Torque Converter Clutch 840051

A centrifugal torque converter clutch was developed to improve the mechanical efficiency and yet retain a smooth feel in the driveline by allowing some slip to occur at loads above normal road load.
Some design problems are discussed and the torque capacity calculations are given.
