Fenix: A New Control System for Fuel Injection and Ignition 840543

The “FENIX” is a fully digital electronic engine control system based on speed/density and engine-knock inputs. Its has been designed to cover a wide range of applications from a rather simple 4 by 4 multipoint open loop (in production) up to a closed loop US system with total idle speed control, cylinder to cylinder knock correction, adaptive control self diagnostic and limp-home.
This new up-to-date system is very easy to calibrate and powerful and flexible enough to handle most of the development engineers wishes. Its cost effectiveness and efficiency are due to a design realized in a close collaboration between RENAULT and AMC motorists and electronic and software engineers from RENIX.
