An Electronic Fuel Injection System for Diesel Engines 850453

The paper describes a fuel injection system for light duty diesel engines, specifically designed for electronic control. The system is based on a distributor pump in which fuelling and timing are controlled electronically, and a simple and compact arrangement of pump has been achieved by integrating the transducers and actuators into the pump at the design stage. Results are given of the performance of the system, showing substantial advantages.
