Adhesion Utilization and Brake Standard Harmonization-An Examination of the Dilemma and a Proposed Solution 850544
This paper describes the current European method of regulating passenger car brake balance and examines the problems faced by manufacturers if a similar regulation were incorporated into the U.S. FMVSS system along with stopping distance requirements, as has been proposed as part of international brake regulation harmonization.
A possible solution is discussed along with suggestions for its further consideration.
