Hydraulic Engine Mount Isolation 851650

Hydraulic mounts are being increasingly used for automotive applications and while the characteristics of this type of isolator has been well documented, to date, little has been published on the manner in which this type of isolator should be “tuned”.
This paper, with the use of simple linear lumped-parameter mass/spring systems, will identify the basic principles involved in optimising the dynamic performance of hydraulic engine mounts.
