Engine Cooling Fan and Shroud Optimization for Blow Through Operation 860764
Many extensive studies have been conducted to optimize engine cooling fan performance for the suction mode of operation, but few published documents have treated the blow through mode of operation commonly used in construction and industrial equipment.
This study includes Information correlating volumetric airflow and fan power consumption to the fan speed, fan to core spacing, shroud design, and fan position relative to the shroud.
