Seat Belt “Effectiveness Perception” in Heavy Truck Accidents 861093
Heavy truck drivers have developed perceptions regarding seat belt safety. Their common sense and observation of serious accidents have misled them to think seat belts do not decrease injury rates in heavy trucks. This article discusses how those perceptions have developed and why they are misleading.
