A Study of Mass Burning Rate of a Small Industrial Spark Ignition Engine 861239

The mass burning rate of a small industrial spark-ignition engine is derived and analyzed using Wiebe's function and a proposed simpler approach. Effects of engine chamber geometry on the combustion rate and duration are compared using four engine chamber profile. The interrelationship of chamber geometry with respect to the mass burning fraction of an L-head SI engine is analytically presented.
