Falls Entering and Exiting Heavy Truck Cabs 872287

Injuries resulting from driver and shop personnel falls represent a significant worker's compensation cost to employers. Many of these falls occur during the act of entering or exiting the cab of a truck or truck tractor. To develop suitable controls for this exposure it is necessary to identify the factors involved. This has been done through a review of workers' compensation claims files and actual observation of drivers exiting cabs. Prom this, basic control measures are suggested.
