A Study of Phosphorized Steel Sheet for Application of Truck Panels 891275

In order to reducing weight and saving fuel a phosphorized steel sheet with good formability, weldability and corrosion resistant ability has been developed. The main purposes of this paper are evaluation formabiliaty of the phosphorized steel sheet using Erichsen test, FLD test method, YBT test, Swift test and the machenical properties of phosphorized steel sheet, such as yield strength, elongation, r value and n value, and effects of above factors on fracture behaviour and form instability of truck panels made from the phosphorized steel sheet.
IT is an important problem for designing and fabrication truck or car to reduce weight of its panels because of the energy shortage in China. The most common measure is using phosphorized steel sheet for production truck panels, which also meets the requirement or driving safe. Recently all moto works in the world pay more attention to developing HSLA steel sheets. For example, the weight of HSLA steel sheet is about 35% of the total weight of the panels in the Nissan Moto Works, particularly using the phosphorized steel sheet with 372 MPa yield strength. Right now the percent of using HSLA steel sheets will increase to 50% in Japan. Also the phosphorized steel sheets are widely used in USA, West Germany and USSR and obtained satisfactory results. So it is necessary for China to develop the phosphorized steel sheets in the field of automobile industry.
