Advances in Commercial Vehicle Air Compressor Technology 912506

Future requirements for automotive compressors are moving towards increased air outputs, greater efficiencies and reductions in power consumption.
The challenge facing compressor designers has been how to meet these requirements within the space and speed limitations available on modern diesel engines.
This paper examines some of the design and production developments that have been made in producing a new range of compressors covering sizes from 190 - 540cc, which will be used to satisfy the market needs in the 1990's.
