Development of a Solar Powered Vehicle 921543

In November, 1990, the Second World Solar Challenge, a biggest solar car race in the world, was held in Australia. This race totals about 3,000km in length from Darwin in Northern Territory to the goal at Adelaide in South Australia. For challenging this race, Honda fixed a vehicle performance targets based on the last winning car data and road conditions. After making components meeting each target, we have joined in the race. As a result, we could not break the course-record made in 1987, but we studied a lot and it was wonderful experience for all our team members.
