Recent Advancements in Automatic Fastening Technology 922410

The integration of automated systems and stand alone Drivmatic® technology, with respect to aerospace assemblies, is a major challenge throughout the aerospace industry. Gemcor has invested, and is continuing to invest, considerable resources in new developments, not just to maintain its position, but to extend the leading edge of technology in the field of automatic fastening. Several such innovations in a six position upper head of a riveter are presented and discussed in this paper. Each has been cost effectively designed, tested and proven to satisfy current requirements of the national and international aerospace industry.
