This paper reviews some possible future technologies and describes the process by which the often mutually exclusive total vehicle performance objectives can best be satisfied.
In conclusion the paper includes a brief case study showing a proposed solution to a set of possible future vehicle performance and fuel economy objectives.
The process is based on empirical data, experience and w-here appropriate, analytical techniques.
