The Environment - Its Effect on Inhibition Economics 680439

Outlined are the variables that affect the performance of corrosion inhibitors: temperature, application method, condition of surfaces, material to be protected, solution characteristics and velocity vibration effects. A definition of an inhibitor and a description of how they work are included. Because field testing is the only way to obtain reliable data on the effectiveness of inhibitors, a test program is underway in Minneapolis, results of which will be available by 1970. Economic factors are also covered.
