Recent Development of Plastic Material for Automotive Interior Application 830887

In addition to weight reduction and cost reduction, maintenance of the initial quality has become an important subject including color matching after long years of use since automobiles are used for longer years these days.
This paper decsribes an outline of our manufacturing process of instrument panel pads, characteristics of the new surface material which we developed for above requirements, quality comparison of the surface material with those by other methods, possibility of applying this new method to other interior parts, for example, door trim, and so on.
