Evaluation of Infinitely Variable Displacement Compressors with Thermal Expansion Valves in a Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning System 880052

The purpose is to design and test an evaluation procedure that is intended to reveal the compatibility of various designs of thermal expansion valves, (TXV), with an infinitely-variable displacement compressor, (IVD). This procedure is to help understand the effects that refrigerant mass flow modulation by the TXV has upon the control method for variation of the compressor displacement and vice versa. The understanding of certain design elements of the compressor and TXV was necessary to develop the evaluation procedure.
